Hardshell Technology
This helmet technology excels in longevity and impact protection, which is why it's used in our race and rental helmets.

Visor Construction
HEAD Visor Construction is a wind-sealed, UV-protective shield that allows skiers to wear prescription glasses. Like a motorcycle helmet, the visor can be pulled down to protect the eyes while riding.

360° Microshell
The 360° Microshell is a polycarbonate layer that wraps around the lower lip of the helmet, preventing scratches and dents in the helmet’s foam.

Thermal Ventilation
Thermal Ventilation is our automatic system that directs warm air away from the head to the outside while preventing cold air from entering.

Microfur
Microfur provides warmth and comfort on the skin. As a helmet lining, it creates the perfect fit and feel for all-day shredding.

Windshield Liner
A thin cover on the forehead that protects your head from the airstream.

Beanie Liner
The soft Microfleece Beanie Liner adapts perfectly to the head, preventing bruising and blocking cold air. Molded-in mesh zones allow heat and moisture to escape, ensuring a pleasant head climate in combination with the ventilation system.

Sphere Fit
The patented Sphere Fit system is a free-hanging fit system that wraps around the head like a beanie, creating a snug and comfortable fit without applying pressure.

Neckgator
The Neckgator adds comfort and warmth to the helmet wearer while blocking out the elements.

Removable Earpads
The washable earpads are removable, allowing you to adjust to changing weather conditions and for easy cleaning.

Easyclick Lens Exchange System
Lenses can be exchanged easily with a simple click mechanism on both sides. A small colored dot indicates when the lens is securely locked with the outriggers.

Toric Lens
Toric lenses are curved to prevent optical distortion.

Ventilated Lens
Ventilated lenses channel air from the lens into the helmet's ventilation system, helping to prevent fogging.

UV400 & Anti-Fog
UV400 & Anti-Fog lenses provide intense UV protection and reduce fogging, ensuring optimal visibility in bright mountain light.

Comfort Foam
Comfort Foam is a single-density foam that creates an ideal inner goggle climate, offering comfort with venting properties.

One-Handed Operation
The helmet allows for convenient one-handed operation.

Spare Visor Available
A variety of visor options are available, allowing you to adapt to changing weather conditions.

Helmet Pouch Included
A helmet pouch is included to protect your helmet from scratches and impacts.

Lens Cover Included
A lens cover is included to protect the lens from scratches and damage.

Head:
The company was founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1950 by aeronautical engineer Howard Head, after he took a ski trip and was astonished to see his skis were made of wood in an era when metals and plastics was replacing wood in many product designs. Head worked at the Glenn L. Martin Company where they used a form of aluminum and plastic laminate to build the fuselages of aircraft, and he felt the same material would make an ideal ski. After two years of constantly breaking skis, by the winter of 1950 they had a design that not only stayed together, but made turning dramatically easier.

The Head Standard would rapidly grow in sales through the 1950s, until it and other Head designs were capturing over 50% of the US market during the 1960s, making them the leading ski manufacturer in the U.S. and U.K.. Head resisted the change to fibreglass construction and was known for interfering in day-to-day operations. In 1967, Howard Head hired Harold Seigle as company president, and became the Chairman of the Board and CEO. Bored of the results, in 1969 Head sold the company to AMF in 1969, and took up tennis. He later bought a controlling interest in Prince Sports. The company is currently headquartered in Kennelbach, Austria and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
