Volkl:
Since 1923, Volkl has manufactured skis in Straubing, Germany, a Bavarian town about an hour's drive north of Munich. In the 1960s, Seaos started distributing Volkl in North America under the Othmar Schneider and Sears brands. Though they recently built a state-of-the-art production facility in Straubing, the original factory is still in use as the Volkl World Logistics Center.
In early 2007 Volkl presents another quantum leap in the evolution of the ski: Power Switch Technology, a mechanism that allows you to completely transform your skis' characteristics, with a simple manual switch enabling the adjustment to current snow conditions or to your fitness level.
