Description

Cylindrical, frameless goggle with photochromic lens and 5K lens technology, increasing contrast and color brilliance. Lenses can be exchanged easily.

The HORIZON 2.0 5K PHOTO is a co-creation of HEAD and their professional athletes and received a facelift for this season. It delivers supreme comfort, unmatched eye protection, function, and cutting-edge style in all winter sports environments. Features include ultimate UV and anti-fogging, a very wide field of vision, Speed Snap Lens Exchange system, helmet compatibility, and slip-free silicone strap backing. It also features 5K – enhancing the contrast and boosting color brilliance. The photochromic lens automatically adapts the lens tone between the categories S2 - S3, depending on the weather condition.

Lens: 5K photo green: S1 - S3, VLT 43% - 11%

Cylindrical Lens The Cylindrical Lens is a flat lens with a single lateral curve that provides a superior field of vision. It also looks great!

UV400 & Anti Fog UV400 & Anti Fog refers to the intense UV protective qualities of HEAD lenses and their ability to minimise fogging. The light on the mountain is intense so you need the best protection possible as well as anti-fogging qualities to maintain the best visibility.

Photochromic Lens This lens automatically adapts its lens tone between categories S1 to S3, depending on the weather condition. The lens is toned down in bright, sunny conditions and allows more light to enter the eyes in cloudy, overcast weather conditions.

Triple Layer Foam Dual-density Comfort Foam with Microfleece is a bonded foam with a soft fleece for added comfort. The two foams serve different purposes, including anti-fogging, climate regulation and padding while the fleece creates the ideal comfort layer between goggle and skin.

Speed Snap Lens Exchange Speed Snap Lens Exchange is a fast and easy lens exchange system. Lenses snap in and out quickly and easily allowing a rider to keep up with the changing light conditions.

Double Lens The Polycarbonate Double Lens is a comparable weight lens that provides 100% UV protection and is 10 times more impact-resistant than conventional glass or plastic. It is therefore the ideal lens for mountain sports.

5K Lens The new 5K Lens tone formula was developed for the alpine environment. 5K enhances contrast and boosts color brilliance by filtering specific wave lengths of the visual spectrum, therefore revealing more details and assuring a safer, less tiring on-snow experience in any weather condition.

Extreme Wide Field of Vision HEAD's goggles with an extra wide field of vision are perfect for racers, allowing a tight aerodynamic tuck without impaired vision.

Venting Foam Venting Foam allows the transfer of air, heat and moisture. When used in our goggles it prevents fogging and creates the ideal climate inside a pair of goggles.

EVA Case Included A hard case that protects your goggle from external impact and holds up to two goggles or extra spare lenses.

Head:
The company was founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1950 by aeronautical engineer Howard Head, after he took a ski trip and was astonished to see his skis were made of wood in an era when metals and plastics was replacing wood in many product designs. Head worked at the Glenn L. Martin Company where they used a form of aluminum and plastic laminate to build the fuselages of aircraft, and he felt the same material would make an ideal ski. After two years of constantly breaking skis, by the winter of 1950 they had a design that not only stayed together, but made turning dramatically easier.

The Head Standard would rapidly grow in sales through the 1950s, until it and other Head designs were capturing over 50% of the US market during the 1960s, making them the leading ski manufacturer in the U.S. and U.K.. Head resisted the change to fibreglass construction and was known for interfering in day-to-day operations. In 1967, Howard Head hired Harold Seigle as company president, and became the Chairman of the Board and CEO. Bored of the results, in 1969 Head sold the company to AMF in 1969, and took up tennis. He later bought a controlling interest in Prince Sports. The company is currently headquartered in Kennelbach, Austria and Amsterdam, Netherlands.
